Nucleus with 5 frames of bees, accepted and laying Carniolan queen, pollen and stored honey ready to be placed into your 8 or 10 frame hive. Just add more frames to finish out your 8 or 10 frame box. Each Nuc will have at minimum, 3 frames with all stages of brood. Queens will be new 2025 queens and Queens are Marked.  Our nucs are not weak nucs but very strong with lots of bees that expand quickly. They will be supplied in a PRO Nuc box.

You can start off with a single story colony, either 8 frame or 10 frame, medium size (6 5/8") box full of all frames, bees, accepted and laying 2025 Carniolan queen, pollen, food ready to add the second box as they are growing fast.  Others will sell you a box with only a 5 frame nuc installed with the remaining frames of foundations; ask before you purchase. Our single story colony will have every frame full and you will immediately have to add the next box. 

Includes the bottom board, single medium box, inner cover and telescoping metal covered lid. (beware, some do not give you an inner cover) All exterior woodenware will be wax dipped to protect the wood from decay for more than a decade. Wood will be natural color with no need to paint. Locally raised and suited to this region and climate. We have been breeding this selection from the New World Carniolan strain. Extremely gentle, very hygienic and great foragers and honey producers.    Queens will be available sometime after the end of May 2025.

Sometimes you just need some frames of Brood and Bees to boost your colony strength.   We offer both medium frame and deep frames of brood and bees.  You will have to bring your own well vented container to haul them yourself.  If not I can supply a Nuc box to you for a $12 deposit.
